Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop the department’s next phase of growth, focusing on regional expansion (Northeast and West regions) and the development of an integrated spine care model.
Clinical Oversight: Manage a high-volume platform (4,300+ annual cases) across subspecialties including cerebrovascular, functional, oncology, pediatrics, and trauma.
Academic Advancement: Lead the neurosurgery residency and fellowship programs in partnership with Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine; drive clinical trials and translational research.
Operational Stewardship: Maintain accountability for quality metrics (mortality, readmissions, LOS), financial performance, and workforce alignment in a dyad leadership model.

Candidate Qualifications
Education: MD/DO and Board Certification in Neurosurgery.
Experience: 8–10 years of leadership (Chair, Vice Chair, or Division Chief) within an academic medical center or integrated system.
Rank: Eligible for Associate Professor or higher.
Attributes: Proven track record in faculty mentorship, research engagement, and navigating complex organizational structures.
