General Neurosurgeon Needed in Beautiful Southern Coastal Town

A successful private practice in a beautiful coastal town is hiring two general neurosurgeons to join their well-established group. Walk into immediate volume as the current partners are extremely busy and surgeries are currently booked out for months. For over 20 years, this private neurosurgery group has been providing exceptional, innovative care to its bustling region. Organic growth and recent and future retirements are contributing to the practice needing to bring two exceptional neurosurgeons to join the group.

The practice has four locations and offers a high volume of surgical cases. Join a well-established group of neurosurgeons, two of which are endovascular and cerebrovascular specialists and one of which is functional trained, and a large team of advanced practice providers. There is no local competition. This will be a general neurosurgery practice with a case mix of 80% spine.

All neurological/neurosurgical patients are admitted to a regional medical center which is proudly part of a large health system. The hospital has a neuro/trauma ICU, with critical care management currently provided by surgical and medical intensivists. Neuro-hospitalists (one boarded in neuro-critical care) currently provide ICU consultation. This is a Level II Trauma Center with nearly 800 beds. A brand-new GE biplane suite with flat panel monitors was constructed in 2015. The hospital will provide a two-year competitive guarantee for the new neurosurgeon to join the group. This is a referral center for seven counties, with no other large stroke program in this region of the state.

Practice Highlights:
• Income guarantee through the hospital with partnership eligible after 2 years
• 1 in 6 call rotation for neurosurgery, APPs take first call
• 150 surgical cases in year one
• Competitive income guarantee for 2 years
