Southern Private Practice Seeking General Neurosurgeon to Join Established Group

A neurosurgical private practice based in the South is looking for a general neurosurgeon with a spine focus to join their established group of three neurosurgeons. One of the neurosurgeons will be retiring in the next two years and is winding down so this opportunity provides immediate volume. With a team of highly skilled neurosurgeons, this group services the needs of patients all over its region. Using the most up-to-date technology, the group treats a variety of neurosurgical related issues including a high volume of elective spine surgery, trauma, and tumors of the brain or spine, peripheral nerve and stereotactic radiosurgery, although most trauma is sent out to a nearby Level I center.

The practice has been established for more than 20 years with a stellar reputation in the community and there are no competing groups other than ortho spine. The position provides an opportunity for mentorship with skilled physicians. The practice recently merged with a well-established local orthopedic group and is looking at rebranding with new office space and a new affiliation with a large orthopedic organization recognized as a national and international leader in orthopedics.

Opportunity Details:
- Competitive hospital sponsored 1 to 2 year income guarantee with opportunity for partner once board certified
- Signing bonus and moving allowance
- Loan repayment
- 80 to 90% spine practice with existing volume available
- Work with seasoned physicians providing mentorship and support

- Call 1:4 is not onerous and not a heavy trauma position

Additional benefits include no state income tax, easy access to a regional airport, and low cost of living with excellent public and private school options.
