A leading Midwestern academic health system is looking for a spine-focused, general neurosurgeon to join. This is the largest health system in its state and among the top ten largest single-state nonprofit health systems in the United States. The system has a unique partnership with one of the nation’s leading medical schools. As an academic health system, this organization works to train physicians, blending breakthrough research and treatments with the highest quality of patient care. Its strategic service lines, cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, orthopedics, pediatrics and transplant have received national recognition for quality patient care over the decades.

The admitting hospital is a full-service, 200+-bed hospital with an adjacent outpatient surgery center committed to providing exceptional care and service for the whole family. It is a member of the academic health system but is an independent non-profit organization with its own board of managers, CEO, executive management team and community representation.

• 250 cases in year one, 300-350 cases in year two
• Case mix of ~75% spine and 25% cranial
• Experienced candidates and new grads are both welcome
• Support available for J-1, H-1B, and O-1 visas
• Highly competitive compensation plan including base salary, signing bonus, quality bonus, wRVU productivity incentive
