General Gastroenterology Position in a Leading Academic Mississippi Medical Center

The largest Academic Medical Center in Mississippi located in the state capitol, is excited to welcome a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to their Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This 700+ bed hospital and a level 1 trauma center is a leading academic medical center. They serve as the flagship academic medical center and offer a robust GI fellowship program. The incoming physician will enjoy a rewarding and diverse career (including clinical care) and involvement in educational missions and research if desired. The division offers expertise in many areas, including liver disease and transplant hepatology, advanced interventional endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), GI motility, gastrointestinal oncology, as well as general gastrointestinal and digestive health.

Position/Program Highlights:

• Join a highly collegial team of 10 clinical faculty and an IBD APP
• Strong Advanced Endoscopy and Transplant Hepatology team
• Seeking several General Gastroenterologists to join their team
• Expand outpatient clinics and endoscopy procedures throughout Jackson
• New Satellite ASC opening in Madison, MS – 2026
• On Campus Endoscopy Lab boasts Five Rooms
• Faculty Appointment with the Largest Program in the State
• Open to a candidate stepping into GI Fellowship Director Position
• Robust Internal Referral Network
• 90% Clinical, 10% Education
• Robust GI Fellowship Program with Nine Total Trainees
• EPIC EMR Systemwide
• Strong Compensation package including sign-on, relocation, and productivity-based compensation structure [90% MGMA]
