A 451-bed physician led hospital in Kansas City is actively seeking dynamic and motivated Neurologists to join its esteemed team. With a focus on stroke care and general neurology, these positions offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the comprehensive healthcare services provided to the community. Existing Neurology Department:
• The team is comprised of 5 neurologists.
• Dedicated support staff are available to assist neurologists in providing optimal patient care.
• The administration values physician input and fosters a collaborative relationship, ensuring a supportive work environment for all team members.
Hospital Highlights:
• The hospital is eager to transition towards a comprehensive stroke center and has allocated funds for a biplane suite. In the future, they would be excited to add a Neurointerventional physician to their team.
• Expansion plans include opportunities for sub-specialization in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, clinical neurophysiology, and movement disorders.
• The hospital is seeking 3 to 4 neurologists with expertise in general neurology, stroke care and other neurology sub-specialties.
Work Schedule:
• Physicians will work regular hours from 8 am to 5 pm with flexibility.
• Administrative time (.5 day per week) is included in the schedule.
• Some neurologists may incorporate EMG lab sessions in their schedules if interested.
• Neurologists share call rotation with neurohospitalists at a ratio of 1:6.
• Night and weekend call responsibilities are shared among the team.
• In-person hospital visits are rare due to the availability of telestroke services.
