The new neurosurgeon will be assigned two days of OR at a hospital which performs primarily spine cases as well as low-acuity community-hospital type cranial cases. This location can support the more complex cases in its main ORs and same day/lower acuity cases in its quick-turnover ORs. The neurosurgeon will also be assigned one day of elective, outpatient-only OR at an ambulatory surgery center.
The neurosurgeon will be required to take neurosurgical call at the inpatient hospital shared among the other neurosurgeons and at a small private practice, estimated to be about 5-7 days per month.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in joining an existing community of neurosurgeons practicing in a community-hospital environment and expanding the department’s practice. They will have a desire to interact with resident education at the main campus through resident teaching conferences and education.
