Terrific Uro-Hospitalist and Traditional Urology Opportunity in North Carolina

This health system is a not-for-profit integrated entity of 15 medical centers and over 1,800 physicians in more than 800 locations in addition to numerous outpatient surgery centers, medical plazas, rehabilitation programs, diagnostic imaging centers, and community health outreach programs. Traditional Urology Position - two clinics:
• Incoming urologist will join 11 physicians (call is 1:11) and 11 APPs
• Established patient base
• Great opportunity for someone to hit the ground running
• Non-burdensome call with exact rotation TBD
• Mix of focus among providers; some heavier in clinical practice and some heavier in surgical
• Robotic experience is a plus
• All have systo block time and robot block time is available
• Compensation includes 2 year guarantee and bonus potential
• Ability to support H1B Visa candidates

Overview of Uro Hospitalist role:
The position is inpatient only performing consults, procedures, surgeries, and assisting in the management of inpatients from the office-based group. No clinic responsibilities. Alternating 7 on/7off block schedule with an average patient volume of 30 patients between rounding and consults. No overnight call. Practice is supported by system-wide EMR-EPIC and provides easy access to robotics.
 
Uro-Hospitalist Position:
• Inpatient Urology service is a consultation only service and the inpatients are admitted by the medical hospitalist service 
• FMC is a 900-bed hospital with ~100 ED beds, > 120,000 ED visits annually
• Position is currently supported by APPs
• Position is supported by dedicated OR block time
• No overnight call
• No clinic responsibilities
• Work schedule: 7am-6pm
• Sunday-Saturday with alternating 7 days off
• EPIC EMR
