Position/Program Highlights:
• Currently 6 GI physicians on faculty with the plan to grow to 10.
• Opportunity for general GI physician, advanced endoscopist or GI hospitalist. Additional subspecialties are welcome and can be supported.
• The position is predominately outpatient. One week a month of inpatient is split up amongst the group.
• The current physician split their time equally each day between the office and GI lab.
• Call is 3-5 weekdays per month and two weekends per year.
• Incoming physician will obtain a faculty appointment and teach medical students/residents.
• There is an opportunity to participate in monthly GI lectures and grand rounds.
• The program does not currently have a GI fellowship but would welcome a gastroenterologist with interest in starting one.
• Research is encouraged but not required.
• H1B and J1 visas can be accommodated.
• Competitive compensation with productivity and quality bonuses. Additionally, TN has no state income tax.
