A thriving hospital system in south Florida has recently merged with another system and is expanding into a new market. They are recruiting two neurosurgeons to work at two community hospitals in the area. Ideally, they would like to hire a more senior person to be the leader and a junior person.
These will be general neurosurgery positions and will report to the Director of the Neuroscience Institute at the main campus. The call schedule will be one week per month and will be shared with several community neurosurgeons who have a very collegial relationship with the hospital. There is also an orthopedic group who will work alongside the new neurosurgeons.
One hospital is a non-trauma center and the other is a brand new hospital on a beautiful campus, with plans to grow. This is a boutique hospital that doesn’t see much ER traffic and will mainly be consults. Most cases will transfer to the main hospital. The campus includes an ambulatory surgery center that will offer buy-in options. Both hospitals have very well- equipped OR’s and will offer everything you need to handle your cases. You will see clinic at both hospitals and the main campus team has already started doing so to help to start establishing a presence. Block OR time is available and the rooms are very large, beautiful and well-equipped.
The group is open to all experience levels and are happy to mentor new grads and have them start at the main campus first to receive mentorship.
A competitive base salary will be offered plus quality incentives, RVU incentives, leadership stipend, call pay over 7 days per month and a sign-on bonus.
