A tremendously supportive and collegial group in sunny CA is excited to add a neurosurgeon interested in cranial tumors to this fantastic practice. This team has a culture of collaboration and a vested interest to see the new hire succeed!
There is a tremendous opportunity to capture these cases. The hospital sees an average of four cranial cases just through the ER every week! While the hospital is a level I trauma center, the new hire has the option whether to take call! APP’s do take first call. The medical center has a 52 bed neuroscience unit and a 20 bed neuro-ICU. The Neurosciences Institute is a newly dedicated standalone building bringing neurology and neurosurgery together offering a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Six neurologists are currently on staff with another six-nine being added in by next summer!
The community is proud to have a diverse physician population, including many first-generation physicians. The team is excited to offer mentorship for trainees interested in being part of a new and well-supported program, in addition to neurosurgeons of all experience levels.
This city has an amazing diversity of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. It is located near national parks, and dozens of other beautiful wilderness areas. The local museums, restaurants, and festivals provide deep cultural diversity to people who live near and far. Living here has all of the amenities of living in a big city while getting to enjoy the ease of a small town. Compared to the surrounding area, it is one of the most affordable cities to purchase a home in California.
