A private practice in a central Florida location is excited to welcome a spine focused neurosurgeon to join their group! This is an elective spine only practice with no trauma call expectations. This is an opportunity to have a very busy spine practice with the current partner and also enjoy a nice quality of life, and a terrific opportunity for an experienced neurosurgeon to join a group that is well established in the community. In addition, the practice is well run by a practice manager who has been with the group for 41 years.
The current neurosurgeon in practice with the group has been with the practice for years. The group also has four neurologists, two interventional pain anesthesiologists, three PAs and one RN. The group at one time had four neurosurgeons and there is plenty of volume to be captured as the current neurosurgeon is currently overwhelmed with cases and sending many out. Anticipated first year volume is 200 to 300 cases initially and this can easily be more in future years. There is no orthopedic spine in the community. Call will be taken for the hospital 7 days a month for spine only and the hospital does not get trauma cases, so the call burden is very minimal and mainly consultative. Ancillary income opportunities include real estate holdings and surgery center investments that can be available in the future.
The group admits to one hospital and the hospital will be sponsoring an income guarantee for the new person for the first year. This is a Level II center but does not receive trauma cases. Block OR time is available and the hospital is open to equipment need discussions with the new neurosurgeon. The current neurosurgeon has a great relationship with the hospital and the hospital is eager for him to recruit a partner.
