A neuroscience institute in south Florida is seeking a BE/BC general neurosurgeons to join an expanding neurosurgery program. You will partner with their existing neurosurgeon on staff as well as the new neurosurgeon joining them in July. They have an immediate need as this new position will replace someone who is leaving the area in March.
This is a 500-bed non trauma designated hospital. All trauma gets transferred to the main hospital which is a Level I center. The practice will be mostly elective spine cases. The hospital has a dedicated neuro ICU and is equipped with MRI, CT, Radiosurgery and C-Arm equipment. Block OR time is available and the neurosurgeons have a PA assigned to them.
The neuroscience team is comprised of adult and pediatric neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, neurointensivists, medical neurologists, physiatrists, with dedicated areas of expertise, and a team of clinical mid-level professionals. General neurosurgery call is required and this is a non-trauma hospital with the new person having a practice of 80% spine and 20% cranial.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
