Epilepsy Leadership Opportunity With Wisconsin Health System

A highly-regarded health system in Wisconsin is expanding its neurology service line with the addition of two epilepsy leaders. There is an opportunity for a system-wide Epilepsy Chief and an Epilepsy Director at one of their hospitals in the Milwaukee suburbs.

System-wide Epilepsy Chief position:
• Create a comprehensive, leading-edge epilepsy program to serve patients across the State
• Provide clinical oversight and direction for comprehensive and satellite programs for screening, treatment, clinical protocols, education and outreach
• Lead collaborative program development efforts with epilepsy and neurology providers across Region and State
• Identify hub site(s) for remote monitoring
• Deploy multidisciplinary approach for epilepsy management across State
• Create “centers for excellence” or specialized support such as epilepsy services for pregnant women
• Identify required human resource and capital investments to achieve vision
• In collaboration with health system leadership, hire an administrative program leader to support development of services
• Establish community education and outreach programs for replication across market

Hospital Epilepsy Director Position:
• Position organization for Level 4 designation
• Establish comprehensive program to include intraoperative monitoring, vagus nerve stimulation, specialized neuro imaging and virtual services
• Leveraging existing relationship with local children’s hospital to create a satellite pediatric monitoring unit
• Overall time administrative commitment anticipated to be 20-25 hours per week
• This role is excluded from the general neurology call schedule
