Academic program in Houston recruiting for beautiful community practice

The largest not-for-profit health system in Southeast Texas is seeking inpatient and outpatient neurologists for four of its community hospitals in and around Houston.

This system has 15 hospitals and numerous specialty programs and services conveniently located throughout the Greater Houston area and is one of the nation's busiest Level I trauma centers and the primary teaching hospital for its affiliated medical school at a well-known Texas university. The system is working with the stroke accreditation association to get a new accreditation—Comprehensive Stroke Center-Integrated System.

Opportunities are a mix of in-patient and out-patient, but can be a majority of one or the other based on candidate’s interests. Stroke and movement disorders would be especially exciting, but they are open to all sub-specialties. There is a robust tele-medicine program in place at night--from 5pm until 8am telemedicine answers all emergent calls. A competitive salary is guaranteed for the first two years, and research and faculty appointments are available.
