Academic Pediatric Neurology Opportunity in the San Francisco Bay Area!

The Department of Neurology at an academic children’s hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Child Neurologists to join it pediatric neurosciences team. Candidates with interests in General Child Neurology, EEG, and Pediatric Epilepsy are of particular interest to the program. Neurology faculty actively participate in the teaching of residents and medical students. Physicians also have the option and support to be involved in clinical research, clinical trials, as well as basic research and translational research, however research is not a requirement.

• Only pediatric trauma center in Northern California
• Neuro-trained APP support in all ICUs

Position Highlights:
• 4 full days of clinic and 1 day of admin, per week
• Inpatient/Outpatient mixed schedule
• Shared 1:6 call coverage with the other members of the group
• Rotate inpatient service 1 week every 6 weeks, no clinic during inpatient week
• Training/supervision and clinical mentoring of residents and medical students
• Ability to read EEGs important, though fellowship not a requirement
• Fellowship training in Neurophysiology/EEG or Epilepsy especially welcome
• Research opportunities available, though not required
• Faculty appointment
