Academic Medical Center in the Mid-Atlantic Region Seeking Fellowship-Trained Endovascular Neurosurgeon to Practice at Its Affiliated Hospital and Build an Endovascular Program with an Existing Busy Stroke Service

Outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Endovascular Neurosurgeon to build an Endovascular program with an existing busy stroke service.

The program currently serves eight Primary Stroke Certified hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic region and is expanding the scope of services to provide thrombectomy-capable and eventually comprehensive stroke services.

Desired Candidate:
• ABNS BC/BE in Neurosurgery
• Fellowship training in Vascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery.
• Committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients
• Team-oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate clinical outcomes
• Possess the qualifications and interest to assist in the development of the Endovascular Stroke Program. Some administrative duties related to program-building

Practice Highlights:
*Practice along with a team of three general neurosurgeons at the Neurosurgery and Neurosciences Institute
*Provide comprehensive care in a complete stroke program situated within a well-established, elective practice
*Benefit from the most up-to-date practices and technologies including advanced diagnostic procedures, minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, and radiosurgery for brain and spinal tumors
*Neurosurgery group works with advanced care providers that promotes surgeon efficiency
*The hospital is part of a Health System where there is a combination of community medicine and yet academic resources, research and technology are close at hand
*Participate in general neurosurgery call (1:4 with new surgeon)
*Provide education to community and referral sources, as requested
