A premier multi-specialty private practice in the Midwest is seeking two neurosurgeons, a cranial focused neurosurgeon and a general neurosurgeon. There are significant regional neurosurgery needs that are not being met and the new neurosurgeon will be able to build an elective practice as well as support the hospital’s neurosurgery trauma needs. Interests in MIS and trauma will be well supported. Their current neurosurgeon plans to retire summer 2023.
About the practice:
This practice is the dominant provider of orthopedic surgery care in the region with 46 physicians that includes orthopedic surgeons, PM&R spine specialists, podiatrists, rheumatologists and rehabilitation specialists. In addition, the neurosurgeon will join a well-established brain and spine team along with 2 experienced PM&R physicians. They have offices in multiple locations and has an advanced ambulatory surgery center along with experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners that support the practice in ambulatory & inpatient settings. The group is well established and has 70-80% of the orthopedic market share. They are passionate about supporting their physicians and prides itself on patient satisfaction.
About the hospital:
This is a thirteen-hospital system in Illinois. The hospital is a 254 bed Level I trauma center with approximately 1200 admissions per year. The Neuro ICU has 17 beds. The hospital has the best payor mix in the city.
