There is a tremendous opportunity to capture neurovascular cases. The new hire can expect a case mix of 75% neurovascular, 25% general neurosurgery. The hospital is a 685 bed Level I primary stroke center. Neurovascular call will be 1:4 as shared with two neurologists and one radiologist. General call will be approximately once per quarter. APP’s take first call.
The medical center has a 52 bed neuroscience unit and a 20 bed neuro-ICU. The Neurosciences Institute is a newly dedicated standalone building bringing neurology and neurosurgery together offering a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Nine neurologists are currently on staff with another six being added in by next summer!
The community is proud to have a diverse physician population, including many first-generation physicians. The team is excited to offer mentorship for trainees interested in being part of a new and well-supported program.
